Ahhh…. Love these guys!! It’s soooo great to get to work with couples that REALLY enjoy each other! Lena and David was no exception. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Thanks for trusting us to capture your amazing day on film!! Hope you (re)enjoy your SDE!

Q + A WITH LENA AND DAVID

Q. HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET?
A. David and I met on a blind date set up by his sister and my aunt, whom are childhood friends. Big props to Cindy and Tanya! Wooo wooo! Our first meeting was a snowboarding trip to the local mountains, with David’s friends. None of his friends had any clue I was his guest! =)

Q. HOW LONG DID YOU DATE BEFORE YOU GOT ENGAGED AND HOW LONG WERE YOU ENGAGED FOR?
A. A loooonngg time! 6 1/2 years we’ve been dating and engaged for 7 months.

Q. WHAT WAS THE STORY OF THE PROPOSAL?
A. It was the day after Christmas and we wanted to go snowboarding since there was supposedly some fresh snow in the local mountains, so we planned a trip to go just the two of us. Woke up early and David checked the snow report. No chain required, so we were all good. Picked up some McD’s for breakfast and then as we approached the bottom of the mountain, people starting turning around because they wouldn’t let people up without chains. We didn’t have any, so David thought maybe we should just head back home. We turned around and 10 minutes later, he decided we should go for it, so we turned around to stop by a place to buy chains. An hour passed and we couldn’t find chains that fit the tires, but then we heard they started letting people up the mountain without chains. Finally got to the mountains and went through our first run. David found a good spot. Got down on one knee and popped the question. That was definitely worth the trouble!

Q. WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU TELL A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?
A. Hire a wedding coordinator if you can. They will be one of the best investments you’ll make for wedding planning! If you live in the LA area, LINDA TAN with LUMIANI EVENTS is #1!

A. We spent a quiet evening at home after a hectic day at work. He called me over to the other side of the room, making it seem like he needed help with something, only to find him on bended knee proposing to me.

A. Waking up next to your hubby/wife every morning

A. Finding out some weird behaviors that you didn’t know existed

Q + A WITH KEREN AND EDDY 

Q. HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET?
A. The first time we met was when we were 12, and shared a ride to a local fair. The next time we reconnected, my best friend was dating his best friend and we spent the weekend together at his parents’ cabin. The third time we reconnected, we met up to have a friendly 4th of July brunch, and the rest is history!

Q. HOW LONG DID YOU DATE BEFORE YOU GOT ENGAGED AND HOW LONG WERE YOU ENGAGED FOR?
A. First time around we dated for 3 months, broke up for 10 years, got back together and dated for 1 year, 3 months, got engaged, and were engaged for 9 months before the wedding.

Q. WHAT WAS THE STORY OF THE PROPOSAL?
A. It was the morning of my birthday! Every morning he makes me breakfast and we do the daily LA Times Crossword puzzle. As my birthday present, he had made me a special “birthday” crossword puzzle, filled with clues about us, our families, and our relationship. The longest answer had the clue “The theme to this puzzle.” After answering all the other clues, the remaining clue spelled out “Will you marry me Keren.” !!!!!!

Q. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING MARRIED?
A. We just have so much doing doing anything and everything together.

Q. WHAT’S THE FUNNIEST THING ABOUT BEING MARRIED?
A. Learning all the little quirks about each other.

Q. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY?
A. So many!!! The breathtaking ceremony, being picked up on the chairs during the reception, the toasts, the wedding crashers, having all my closest friends and family around me at the same time.

Q. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO HIRE A VIDEOGRAPHER?
A. We wanted to be able to remember this incredibly special day, and be able to share it with our children one day.

Q. WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF BEING A NEWLYWED?
A. Enjoying each day because it is so new.

Q. WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU TELL A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?
A. Have as much fun as you can, and try not to get caught up in every small decision – certain things (i.e. each flower to use) just aren’t that important.

Q. WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART ABOUT PLANNING A WEDDING?
A. There is so much involved, and so many little decisions to make, it is easy to forget all the little details.

Q. IN A FEW WORDS, SHARE WITH FUTURE NEWLYWEDS SOME MARRIAGE WISDOM?
A. Sometimes, during fights, there is a tendency for someone to “have to” be right. It doesn’t matter who’s right, and who’s wrong. Learn to let things go. It’s not worth the fight.

Q + A WITH HANNAH AND CLAYTON

Q. HOW LONG DID YOU DATE BEFORE YOU GOT ENGAGED AND HOW LONG WERE YOU ENGAGED FOR?
A. We were together for 6 years before getting engaged. Once engaged, we got married 8 months later because we wanted a summer wedding…before football season started!

Q. WHAT WAS THE STORY OF THE PROPOSAL?
A. In 2006, we were in Boston visiting Clayton’s sister and family for Christmas. On Christmas morning, a small box was given to me with a note “From Santa”. As I opened, Clayton got down on one knee and proposed.

Q. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY?
A. One of our favorite moments in during our wedding day was my nephew. He was suppose to walk down the aisle as a ring bearer. He never made it! His mom was chasing him around in a circle while the music was playing to get him to walk…but that never happened. We all laughed

Q. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO HIRE A VIDEOGRAPHER?
A. We were not sure if we wanted or needed a videographer. One of my friends that got married several years ago mentioned to me that she regretted not having a video of her wedding day. Although pictures capture most of the event, having a video will capture moments that you may have missed or want to see again.

Q. WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU TELL A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?
A. If you can hire a planner, do it. They will save you a lot of stress. Its your day..let someone deal with the logistics so that you can enjoy.

Q. WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART ABOUT PLANNING A WEDDING?
A. I never envisioned a “dream wedding” when I was a little girl. So for me, it was hard to figure out what I wanted. But, once you start doing research and looking at other weddings, you start creating your own unique wedding.

A few weeks back, we had the awesome opportunity to get to film Zahraa and Chris’ e.Session down at The Beautiful Terranea Resort. These guys are SOOOO cool! During their e.Session shoot, we got to work along film side our good friends Casey and Andrea over at Figlewicz Photography. You can see some amazing images from their wedding on Casey’s blog! Wait till you see Zahraa secret belly dance she performed during their wedding reception! Chris had a perma-grin from ear to ear! Belly Dancing and their “Feature FIlm” coming soon!! Denise Mena - i love this video its amazing:) tehy are soooo cute together. i like how the music fits perfectly with the scenes they chose and i like the interviews they were short and simple and genuine. ive never seen a wedding video like this and i though it was the perfect touch to the reception

Marco Ponce - I am actually involved in video production and when I saw this video at Chris sand Zahraa’s wedding reception I was blown away by how good it was. Zahraa talked about impressive creations and showed off their site to everyone at work months before the wedding and I knew it was going to be good but I didnt know it was going to be this good. The video is awesome and they really showed their true character and love for each other so great job!

Alex Hbaiu - I’ve been to a lot of weddings so far and I have to say Im not saying this because Zahraa is my sister Im saying it because its true. This wedding was by far the best wedding Ive been to and what made it sooo good is the video played during the reception this video made everyone feel so much more connected to Zahraa and Chris as a couple. Guests learned about how they met and how they got to where they are now and got to see why they are getting married. The video really showed true love through the music, the pictures, the interviews everything. when I get married impressive creations will definitely be my videogaphers!
